Brie James was born in the desert, Tucson, AZ, on Tohono O'odham and Hohokam land, surrounded by magic and ritual. She grew up with tarot and ceremony as a regular practice through her parents and Native American community.

Seeking to go deeper as an adult, Brie continued her learning under many mentors and peers. Along with her lifelong experience, she developed a rich understanding of the medicine that tarot brings, and decided to share it.

Brie was a resident reader at Portland's beloved Psychic Sister  and House Witch at Make and Mary, where she hosted tarot pop-ups, celestial events, and more. She is also published in Coleman Stevenson's A Small Collection of Specialized Spreads Vol. 2. Brie has held a close relationship with tarot for nearly 30 years, reading for herself, her community, and now professionally.

Alongside her tarot practice, Brie is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in nervous system and relaxation work, Craniosacral therapy, Reiki, and cupping. She completed an 800-hour massage therapy program at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon, receiving her diploma in December 2019. She trained in Craniosacral therapy under the Upledger Institute and additional mentors, and her Craniosacral practice is deepening toward the Visionary Craniosacral Work® lineage of the Milne Institute, a tradition rooted in presence, intuition, and the body as a living field of intelligence.

She holds a Reiki Master certification, attuned under Colleen Benelli, Lisa Powers, and Marika Clymer. Her bodywork and her intuitive practice aren't separate things, they're rooted in the same belief: that the body holds what the mind is still working out.
